STONES
Stones have become increasingly more popular as a body jewelry material as inlays and hangers but also carved into jewelry on its own such as stone ear plugs and stone ear weights just to mention to two most popular carved stone body piercing products. A lot of the smaller stones we use such as beads and cabochons we acquire from an out side supplier that we have partnered up that guarantees us good quality but most importantly a genuine product, as there are a lot of fake stones out on the market we always make sure that we only use real genuine stones in all out jewelry production. Below is a list of the stones that we use with the color mentioned as well as other interesting facts regarding each stone.

Our Thoughts: We use imitation amber that has been made using natural resin extract that is then harden to imitate the process and material of real amber but done over night instead of millions of years.

Color: Milky white with rainbow shimmer (OW); Variations of blue with a rainbow shimmer (OB)
Our Thoughts: As good quality genuine opals are very hard to come by we made the decision to use synthetic opals which are very hard to tell a part from natural opals as they are made in a very similar process though at a much faster rate. The main difference is that synthetic Opals does not shine under UV light and that they are a bit more porous than natural Opals, a part from that you will need a microscope to be able to tell them a part. Funny fact is that these are even more expensive than many of the natural stones that we are using in our production, that is why we only have them available in very small sizes.

Read about Turquoise (Reconstituted) on Wikipedia
Color: Light blue/green with black lines
Our Thoughts: The turquoise that we use in our Jewelry is called reconstituted Turquoise and this is a mix of fragments of fine turquoise material, too small to be used individually, are powdered and then bonded with resin to form a solid mass. We use this as we have had too many troubles finding a reliable source for solid turquoise for an acceptable price. The few times we have been offered "real" turquoise for a good price it has turned out to be fake stones most of the time dyed with the color coming off. This will NOT happen with our turquoise as we make sure its the best grade reconstituted turquoise with a very high stone content.
